Poultry Production Operative

The UK Government has extended the seasonal work visa program until 2029, allocating 43,000 visas for the horticulture sector and 2,000 for the poultry industry. Norfolk Poultry Processing operates one of the UK's largest turkey processing facilities, with peak demand during the Christmas season from October through January. Current minimum wage £12.21 per hour applies to most roles. Specialized roles like butcher, bird/game dresser, killer and plucker earn £15.88 per hour and £38,700 per year. Facility employs 300-600 seasonal workers during Christmas period. Complete safety training and protective equipment provided. Food safety certification training included.

Worker Housing:

• Shared dormitory: £70/week including utilities

Shift Premiums:

• Night shift premium: Additional £1.50/hour
• Weekend rates: Additional £2.00/hour
• Christmas bonus: £300 for full contract completion
